IBCC Equivalence Procedure

Equivalence certificates are quite important when you’re applying for higher education, especially when you have qualifications and certificates from foreign educational boards, British and American predominantly.

IBCC Equivalence Procedure

  1. Obtain IBCC Equivalence form from IBCC Office or download one from IBCC website by clicking here.
  2. Arrange the following documents
    • In case of British Education Qualification (GCSE, IGCSE, O-Levels, A-Levels)
      • Original A-Levels and O-levels certificates issued by Cambridge University or Edexcel and an attested and signed photocopy of each certificate.
      • Attested Photocopies of Passport/Visa of the applicant in case the student acquired education form abroad.
      • Attested copies of B-Form and CNIC of the applicant.
      • A candidate must have passed at least eight subjects in GCE O-Levels including Pakistan Studies, Islamiat, Urdu, English and Mathematics, including 3 other electives.
      • A candidate must have passed at least 3 subjects in GCE A-Levels.
    • In General Case
      • For Two Two-years high school Course (SSC), five academic subjects from grade 9 and 10 each must be passes
      • For four-years HSSC, five academic subjects comprising of three electives, one overall best academic subject and English in Grade 11 and 12. In Case of USA:
      • Original High School Diploma issued by an accredited Institution in the United States.
      • Official Consolidated transcript from Grade 9 through 12, signed, sealed and embossed by the respective issuing authority in the US.
    • In Case of Canada
      • Original High School Diploma Issued by the concerned Ministry of Education in Canada.
      • Official Consolidated transcript from Grade 9 through 12, signed, sealed and embossed by the respective issuing authority in Canada.
  3. Refer to the Equivalence form for exact requirement of documents for the type of equivalence that you require
  4. Once you have arranged all the required documents, you’re supposed to fill the equivalence form in accordance with the instructions mentioned on it.
  5. Attach one passport size picture (coloured) on the form.
  6. Obtain a challan form from the window from the Office window in Islamabad, submit it along with the specified fees and attach the original paid challan with the equivalence form.
  7. If proper protocol is followed and all the required documents are submitted as instructed, your equivalence would be prepared within 7 working days ordinarily and within 3 working days in case of urgent application.
  8. Note that the process may face delays due to various reasons so it is imperative that you consider a margin for that.
  9. You can opt for delivery of your equivalence at your doorstop by paying the courier charges alongside the fees.

    • Equivalence form is free of cost.
    • Equivalence for Local qualification with marks costs Rs.1000.
    • Equivalence for Foreign qualification with marks costs Rs.2000.
    • Equivalence for Foreign qualification without marks costs Rs.2000.
    • Equivalence for Asnaads of Deeni Madaris in Pakistan with marks costs Rs.1500.
    • Equivalence for a Recognized diploma from Pakistan without marks costs Rs.700.
    • Double Equivalence Fees are charges in case of urgent applications.
    • Courier Charges are Rs.200.

    • Equivalence form is free of cost.
    • Equivalence for Foreign Qualification equivalent to HSSC with conversion of marks costs $70.
    • Equivalence for Foreign Qualification equivalent to SSC with conversion of marks costs $70.
