This degree program can easily be divided into two with remote sensing part is associated with the use of sensors in satellites or UAV’s to provide images of land while the GIS will analyze, visualize these images for resource surveying and environmental monitoring. Usually the RS is integrated within a GIS system. Students of this program will undertake courses in the disciplines such as remote sensing, cartography, statistics in geography, GIS techniques and GPS in GIS. The demand of GIS&RS analyst is required in the fields of agriculture, forestry, water resources, surveying, image acquisition and processing along with application in vehicle tracking, and meteorology. In these and various other fields GIS&RS analysts can build career in research, development, advisors to the decision makers, or as an information provider.
