Geomatics is usually related to the information gathering, measurement, mapping and analysis of a geographical location. The surveying of the land and it mapping is made possible through the use of GPS, remote sensing and GIS. Degree program in geomatics offers a number of courses which focus on surveying, mathematics, statistics, mapping, forestry, remote sensing.
Graduate of this program can work as a survey manager, GIS technician, geospatial analyst, and project manager.
