A paediatric rheumatologist is a physician who specializes in providing comprehensive care to children (as well as their families) with rheumatic diseases, especially arthritis. Paediatric rheumatologists are paediatricians who have completed an additional 2-3 years of specialized training in paediatric rheumatology and are usually board-certified in paediatric rheumatology. Rheumatologists with pharmaceutical careers work with various teams including, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, legal affairs, research groups and commercial departments.
