A degree in molecular genetics and microbiology is related to the study at the molecular level of human genetics and the manipulation of these genes to find genetically inherited diseases and their medication. A degree program usually consist of courses in the discipline of immunology, biochemistry, molecular genetics, microbiology, cell biology and molecular genetics along with the extensive lab hours that are required too. Pass-out of this highly specialized degree will allow student to take up job as a research scientist, clinical geneticist, bio-informatics technician, forensic scientist, microbiologist, and biological technician in academia, hospital laboratories or health/pharma industry.
