Hebrew was the language of ancient Israel and Judah, and has remained one of the chief literary languages of the Jewish people. The Hebrew course deals primarily with language and literature, with study of the culture and history as the necessary background. The course in Hebrew Studies also gives students skills in understanding the history, religion, and culture.
Pass-outs can choose to become a translator, an interpreter, work as a teacher of a foreign language etc.
