Geo-informatics is a multidisciplinary field that combines technical, mathematical, computational and visual knowledge. The students learn the state-of-the-art methods for acquiring, processing and utilising geographic data and can also choose one of the subjects within geo-informatics to focus on, such as geodesy (positioning, navigation geodesy), photogrammetry, laser scanning, remote sensing, geographic information technologies or cartography. This degree prepares the students for key positions in academia and industry. Such as working for private, public or non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the capacity of service design, robotics and industrial control, communication technology, mobile application development, gamification, 3D modelling and point clouds, just to name a few.
