This program aims to provide a critical understanding of mountain conservation and watershed management techniques and the socio-economic, political, cultural and organizational issues within which management decisions are made. It also includes knowledge about Sustainable Mountain Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Mountain Agriculture and Food Security, Mountain Agenda (Policy, Legislation and Governance), Snow and Glacier Hydrology and Sustainable Watershed Planning and Management. The analytical and research skills gained from this degree can be attractive to a range of employers and one can get jobs directly in areas of cartographer, commercial/ residential surveyor, environmental consultant and town planner.
